RDV chez le dentiste? 30km de vélo.

En prévision de mon voyage de cyclotourisme, j'ai définitivement rayé l'automobile, l'autobus et le métro de mes moyens de transports.

Mon dentiste habituel étant situé dans ma ville natale, et le temps étant venu de mon rendez-vous annuel pour un nettoyage buccal, je m'y suis rendue en vélo. 27.92km sur le compteur, 2h15 de voyagement. En autobus, j'en aurais mis 1h25. Pas si mal, quoi.

Demain, détour par une petite ville voisine avant de revenir à la maison, pour un total estimé de 70km. Ce sera un beau test pour savoir à quoi m'en tenir sur ma condition physique et ma capacité à me rendre jusqu'au bout de ce voyage...

En attendant, je file chez le dentiste puis une bonne séance de Quest Writing s'impose. Pourquoi me suis-je imposé une date limite pour Gnome Party, déjà? Ah oui, parce que sinon il n'aurait jamais eu lieu. Après 20 ans, je commence à me connaitre... un peu trop bien peut-être, quelques petites mauvaises habitudes à briser...

To prepare for my bicycle road trip this summer, I have completely erased cars, buses and subways from my vocabulary.

My usual dentist being located in my hometown and the time for my annual appointment having arrived, I went there in bike. 27.92km on the cateye, 2h15 of travel time. It would have taken 1h25 by bus so I consider I made good time.

Tomorrow, side-trip to a little city nearby before going home for a total of about 70km. It will be a nice way to see how out of shape I am and if I will be alive in the end of my summer vacations...

In the meanwhile, off to the dentist I go, followed by a nice session of Quest Writing for Gnome Party. Speaking of, why on earth did I set a time limit on that, again? Oh yeah... else, it never would have happened. After 20 years, I'm starting to know myself... a little too much I'd say, some bad habits need broken...
